It is with great difficulty that I inform you that bTR is discontinuing its operations. There were a lot of factors that contributed to this decision, and eventually the only possible direction was to disband the company.

First, I am grateful for all the support and encouragement we received, which makes announcing our close all the more difficult. As for the work we did and its future– the team agreed to split with each taking their major contributions to the project to do as they see fit.

For my part I wish to share my designs so that they can be used by other individuals in the open community for makers and engineers. Along with building the branding and company structure I spent most of my time in SolidWorks creating the mechanical parts for our prosthetic. These were all designed with intention to be printed on consumer grade easily available 3D printers. Many of these work with off the shelf parts like servos and bearings etc. I will upload my major works on GrabCAD and Thingiverse and will provide information on the function and specs of each part in the coming weeks.

I want to thank everyone who supported us and believed in what we were doing. I firmly believe that even though we were not able to achieve our goal, this is a growing field, and advancements are continually being made to benefit humanity, technology and design.

Sincerely,
